Application of Code Ethical Conduct
“A good education can change anyone. A good teacher can change everything!”
As far as NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct I will uphold the standards of confidentiality and privacy, sensitivity, and respect for young children and their families while also advocating for them by becoming a member of NAEYC. I effectively apply the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct by being responsible to protect the children and promoting their well-being. I understand the core values of the conduct and install it into the classroom for not only the children but also for the parents. For instance, I show my appreciation for their childhood stages by getting down on the floor when its circle time and bending down to talk to them to make myself seem as if I am their size to make them feel like I am talking to them not at them. Also, basing work on knowledge on their childhood development such as giving them activities and creating lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate for each child. Finally, respecting children’s dignity is an important value because they deserve to get treated as if their feelings are important no matter how small they are.

I plan to commit to the Code as an Early Childhood Professional by becoming a NAEYC member in 2025. Fortunately, I was successful in becoming a member as my membership has officially started April 23, 2025
